Printed Etched Enamel Badges
Printed with a plate this enamel badge is popular for designs with shadow or fading
Finished with clear epoxy gives this badge I nice feel at low costs.
Hard Enamel Badges
Imitation Hard Enamel has been predominately the higher quality badge or the range. The outline of the pin and any cut-outs are then cut with another mold. Colours are hand-filled with a powdered glass-like mixture. Colours are fired one at a time at 800c for up to four minutes. This two step process insures that there will be no bleeding of colours. Next, the pins are individually hand polished and then plated in your design specific plating colour. Typical plating colors are Gold and Silver but several others are available. You will receive a high quality finished product that is comparable with other types of badges.
Soft Enamel Badges
Soft Enamel with Epoxy (the low-cost high-performance finish) has become a runaway success. This inexpensive but attractive finish is extremely popular with associations, clubs and charities. This low cost badge is ideal for fund raising, give-aways, creating brand awareness and promoting their business or club. Iron has a slight disadvantage compared to copper since it is a harder metal, therefore, when being struck by the die, iron pins typically have less sharp images. The appearance of this process is almost the same as die struck soft enamel, however, you still can tell the difference when observing the metal lines. Iron soft enamel is electroplated by rolling machine. Using bronze and nickel instead of gold and silver respectively.
